los angeles - day 7 & 8

*for this post, day 8 is on top of day 7.. so i sugeest reading from day 7 then to day 8. but honestly speaking, it doesn't make a difference so yup. this is bullshit. haha.*

Day 8: went to hollywood boulevard again.
that's the hot dog n i! haha. actually it's lionel's hot dog la. i only wanted a bite. look at the hot dog carefully. he eats mustard, ketchup but i like it with ketchup n mayo. so the front bit where i'm supposed to bite, there's mayo n ketchup with no mustard for me! haha. cute right? ya i know. heh. celine! this is for u! it's antonio banderas! haha. seee the empty star shape in the tile? lionel n i are suspecting that someone is gonna get a star soooon. we waited for a while near this star cuz there were tv crew. but like no stars came so we left la. it's prob the pre-star event news. argh. oh well.
that's me n the mann's chinese theatre. we went there to watch silent hill today. it was a pretty cool show. not sure whether they have it in singapore but it's a cool n rather violent show but the ending was not too good. so i din really like it. but the cinema was coool so wayang. heh. but the seats at the cinemas here are crap man. cuz they dun incline. like singapore's cinemas, the seat will lean backwards when u sit but not here man. the seats are spacious but stiff. gives me a headahce when i watch a movie.

so far, i watched scary movie 4 - which is funny but not worth the money. jus download it or something. and i watched united 93 - which made me puke 3 times during the show!! the movie was so shaky i cant take it man. argh. and the third movie i watched would be silent hill today. yupz. this was our dinner. (in-and-out burger) it's cheeseburger meal, animal style. haha. ya. they jus put shit on ur fries. haha. it's pretty good la. they put some fressing n cheese n fried onions on the fries which is definitely better than plain fries. haha.

Day 7: universal studios.
this was taken before we went in to universal studios. it was another sun-shiny day. so i wore my shades (btw, i bought the pair of shades here in LA). *jie, i know u dun like black. i mean u prefer brown but i like this pair. dun u think it's not a bad pair? considering it's not expensive. heee.. * anyway ya. and i wore my new marilyn monroe tee-shirt. i bought it here too. i love it! cuz i think marilyn monroe's so pretty. it's in her eyes! oh! and if u click on the picture and see the enlarged version, u will see that i'm not smiling. and i look a little pissed but actually i'm not la. it's jus cuz i cant smile with that pair of shades cuz then my cheeks will press against the shades and my cheeks will look fat. haha. so yup. one of the first things i saw inside universal studios was the madagascar lion. haha. i had to take a picture with him! heee. he looks so happy!!and then there was spongebob!! he's so so cute. i flicked his nose. haha. but that was before the photo was taken so haha. the person inside is not very tall huh. haha. he's abt our height!! look at shrek! he looks like lionel's friend!! and i have a small shrek in my arms! lionel won that for me! but i won another one after that so we exchanged for a bigger shrek! haha. shrek is so cute. i love him!. and frankestein was freaky!! he put his hand on my neck. eeeks! and he's so so tall.. i almost din wana go so close to him. this hollywood sign is damn nice huh. like real one huh. haha. it's jus a fake board behind us but it look so real. coooool.

oh.. we went for the universal studio tour. and at the back of me if the war of the worlds movie set. it's really damn freaky cuz they really took a boeing 747 (i think) and destroyed it for the movie. and u can really see the damage n all.. it's seriously scary cuz u know that might happen to anyone of us who flies. eeks. i'm scared. but ya i still smiled for the camera. what a camera whore. haha. that's me n the apollo 13 pple. all they need is their helmet n all i need is mini shrek! heh. nvm. not funny. haha. one of those photos that i take to entertain myseld cuz lionel was on the phone with kamil. heee. i like this photo. makes me laugh. shrek is alive!! haha. it's like in a bollywood movie where it's hiding behind the tree. hahahahahahaa. ok. not so funny too. i make bad photo jokes. heh.

LA - day 4, 5 & 6

*this entry was supposed to posted 2 nghts ago but there were some errors. so yup. it's a late post. and it's quite a long post cuz of the photos. so... have fun! haha. :p

Day 4: pretty much shopped at melros then went to meet kamil's friend - victoria. then we went to try sheesha (is that how u spell it?) anyway. ya. before that, went to rodeo drive n took lots of stupid photos. but i'm so lazy to upload them. i did day 5 n day 6 photos before this. so yup. enjoy those photos.. i dun think i'll upload day 4 photos. i'm really tired today. and getting a headache cuz i'm toooo sleepy. so good night pple.

Day 5: we went to visit celebrities' houses and went to santa monica pier.
apparently, this is paris hilton's house when she was staying with her fiance paris latsis. hmm.. doesn't seem like a very impressive house. hmmmm.. of cuz they're not staying there anymore.
this is halle berry's house. it is actually pretty huge. and it's nice n clean too! and there's security cameras. haha. and lionel actually got a response from halle berry when he shouted .. heee.. funny. this is me at the back of the car, bored. haha. cuz it's a convertible or something? or jus a really weird car, i cant really hear them at the back. so i was entertaining myself once in awhile n popped my head to the front to hear what kamil n lionel were talking abt once in awhile too. haha. this is leonardo's house. it's a damn damn nice view la. and can see he has like a swimming pool n all. argh. but it's under renovation too..
this is taken outside britney n ferderline's house. but they moved out already and it's not brittany murphy's house. i know we only took the gate but it's cuz the house was like under some renovation or something. and it was pretty high up the slope. so ya.this is the gate leading to the loooooooooong driveway that leads in to madonna's huuuuuuuuge house. haha. so we couldn't see anything cuz the driveway was damn long. haha. this is elvis presley's house. like the last house he stayed at in LA.. yup. it's a pretty pretty huge house.
and this is the front of elvis' house. that's me n kamil!this is the highlight of my day!!.. we went to jennifer aniston n brad pitt's house.. like where they used to stay when they were together... and since the gate was so high, lionel tried to peek through the gates.. and he saw someone walking to the car so he handed me the camera (btw, our car was parked right in front of their gate!) and i was holding on to it. and i saw a car turn towards us n at first i only saw a male driver .. then i saw jennifer aniston!! her hair is sooooo soooo nice la. and she was wearing black. and she was like looking down alot cuz i think she thinks we're the paparazzi. haha. but oh man. my heart was beating so damn dast after that la. and i din manage to take a photo cuz i was star struck!! damn me. argh. i will never forgive myself! i saw my first lemon tree. and got a first hollywood lemon. haha. i still have it with me at home!! it smells citrus. this is taken at the apple store at santa monica. hee. lionel n his apples! argh.
this is taken on the famous ferris wheel at santa monica pier. it's a fast ferris wheel and it's sooooo pretty at night. and the wind n the night view. ahhhh.. it was amazing. see. that's the ferris wheel we were on. it's not a big ferris wheel but it's a ncie ferris wheel. heee. apparently, this is forrest gump's father's shop? or son's shop? i dunno. haha. but look at my shoes!! haha. damn cute huh.

Day 6:
this is the day we went to six flags. it's a theme park at LA. also known as the magic mountain. it's a really coooool place. heee. more stuff is up at lionel's blog. (like the videos and all i think)..
when we first got to six flags. we were all a little nervous but excited. and it was such a nice sunny day... it was actually feeling hot today. haha. luckily i wore spag tops! heee.
this is taken after our first ride - the X. according to kamil n friends, it's the scariest ride at six flags. like there were parts when we dropped down a really steep slope which was 215 feet high (which is , according to kamil, 20 storeys high ) and the worse thing is, we dropped down backwards!! haha. and there were parts where we were spinning in our seats. u really got to be there to experience it. really scary but fun. haha. this was also after the first ride. hmm. jus of the view. like a tiny part of six flags.
this is the worst ride at the place. but it's over in like 10 secs at the most. it jus accelerates up and falls backwards.. haha. it's called the superman. and right at the top, there's a superman figurine. heee.
this was taken on the batman ride. we were not supposed to bring the camera with us but kamil was holding it throughout the ride. so we got the ride on video. haha.
this is a scary ride too.. cuz unlike most of the rides, it is the olden kind. and they dn have the "harness" thing.. they only have this pathetic bar thing to hold u in ur seat while u drop like 12 storeys n spin here n there. it was a pretty fast ride...!!

i think in total, we took 8 rollercoaster rides today. it was a fun day n a sunny day (thank god). how coool. we conquered six flags. hahaaa.. ok. be sure to check out lionel's blog. not sure when he'll put up videos though. but shld be sooooon!!

day 3 (los angeles)

so today, we woke up and had to rush to get out of the house so that we can catch kamil's class. it was quite cool cuz we sat in for his class and he acted a short scene. cooool. then after that they had like people go up to do their monologues and stuff.. damn interesting. and the prof will point out stuff and give them ideas on how to do it then they'll do it again. damn cool la.

anyway, after touring the lee stransberg institute (which is kamil's school), we went for lunch at the grove. and it's a nice sunny day!
had burgers again. i had mushroom burger with onions and cheese.. damn nice. and hot chocolate! yum.

still at the grove. at the fountain place. look at how huge kamil is. he has his arm ard me n lionel! and u know what? the people are all this tall here! and girls tooo! it's freaking scary. i feel so small... seee. i bought 4 tops, 2 were from forever 21!! and i bought 2 necklaces and 2 pairs of shades. heee. i shouldn't be spending too much man. this is crap. argh.
these are kamil's friends. they're from america, london, and turkey. the turkey dude is damn damn funny! haha. it was nice hanging out with them!.

ok. i guess that's it for today. we pretty much shopped and ate. that's all. haha. i'm so sleepy every night i settle down to blog.. i'm so sleepy n lazy. so pls be contended with the photos. haha.

day 1 & day 2 (LA)

so here are some pictures as promised. heee. this is the first time me n lionel took a flight tog. was not exactly perfect.. and it's only cuz i was having a super bad headache, puked n all. and it doesn't help because i am a little scared of flying. hmm.. okay. so the picture above is taken on the plane of cuz. hee. i got the window seat! weee.. 4 hrs later, we arrived at taiwan.. in transit. bleargh.
at taiwan, we were hungry. and we actually wanted to eat the famous chicken cutlet thing but it will be expensive considering we would have to take a cab there n back.. and it's not cheap. and we really have to rush.. so in the end, we end at the airport. ate the taiwan noodle set. it's ok only la.

this is me eating my apple chips that we brought from singapore. man.. less than one day and i'm already eating junk from singapore. how will i last for 4 mths? argh. anyway, this picture is taken outside where i am staying now. at lionel's friend, kamil's, place. it's a decent place with internet n a pretty safe neighbour! yep. and according to kamil, marilyn monroe stayed here before!! how cool is that?!?!?!

day 2: hollywood boulevard. this was taken at the hollywood subway station. it's so cute. and there are more than one design. hmm.. damn cute la.the famous hollywood sign!! it's things like that that make it unbelieveable that i'm actully at HOLLYWOOD!!! OMG... haha.. the first star that i took with today. it's elizabeth taylor's star. took with winnie the pooh, disneyland, bruce lee and michael jackson today! hee.. of cuz lionel took with some too! we're so touristcy.. heee then we went to the ripley's.. how nice. these are some things that we saw la. the things were really interesting but u would really have to be there to read it n experience it la. this lady freaked me out. i mean the statue of queen elizabeth. i have no idea why they would have to make it so scary man.. eeks. this is a real life baby skeleton.. two-headed man!! freaky!!. and some other pictures hollywood... it was cold man.. was drizzling.
and us taking with the hollywood sign. it's right at the back if u look carefully. it's the white thin line on the hills. haha. that's me n spiderman! haha. he's balancing on the dustbin. cool huh. after that, we met kamil and his switzerland friend and we went for dinner. had nice fried chicken with waffles. was goooooood.. followed by scary movie 4 at the cinemas. they wanted to watch "hard candy" which is an interesting show but it was rated "R" so i cant watch. haha. ok.. that's all of us having supper. from left to right, that's lionel, me, switzerland guy, natalia (kamil's friend), and kamil. the 3 are like actors.. so it's cooool. we had like milkshakes n mushroom omelette n rosti-like thing n bagel. heee. was goooood tooo..

now it's like 4.30 am.. argh. i'm so so tired. will be heading out again tmr.. i had better sleep sooooon..

unbelieveable.

OMG OMG!! i cant believe that i'm actually in US, in LA!! i mean i always see US on tv, and now, i'm actually here. i get to see what i've seen on tv all these years. i get to see the hollywood sign n all. it's so amazing. obviously, this is my first time here. so wooohoooo!! heee :) but i'm really tired so i wunt be typing much or posting photos yet..

yup. this post is jus to let my friends know that i've reached here in one piece. a few more days to go then off to work i go. eeeeks.

my last sunday.

there's so much i wanna say but i dunno where to start. although i think i've said this alot, i'm gonna say it again; i'm really gonna miss this place. miss the familiarity, the people, the food, my family, my pheebe, my sweets...

i've been feeling more excited than anything until yest. yest while showering, i suddenly realize that i'm going for 4 MONTHS!! that means i'll be GONE FOR 4 FREAKING LONG MONTHS!! that's a really scary tot. i mean i know i was going away.. but hey!! not that long.. damn... i'm really relieved that at least i have lionel though. hmmm...

and it's also a little sad cuz i haven met all the people that i wanna meet. i mean i wanna meet them but it's also not like a huge thing that i'm leaving so i kinda dun wanna disturb those that are studying. hmm.. but i guess i should have. damn. now i dun have anymore time.. :(

i wanted to post an entry on some feelings i had over these past few days. and then i think again. and it doesn't matter.

no matter how i feel, what i do, who i meet or not meet up with, i'm leaving soon.

this is: extremely taxing on my little brain.

1. My ex is: in melbourne. (i think...)

2. Maybe I should: start stuffing myself with all the yummy food (esp yu sheng n tea eggs) here before i leave for US!!

3. I love: to cook n not have to wash. and of cuz i love pheebe, my family, my friends, lionel, sweets. i also love to talk rubbish (at times).

4. I don't understand: how the 4D works.

5. I lose: hair easily but it's all good cuz i have so much hair.

6. People say I'm: shy? (heh)

7. Love is: a strong feeling that i cant justify with words.

8. Somewhere, someone is: dying

9. I will always: try to collect all the one dollar coins so i can put them in my piggy bank.

btw, for those who dunno what the heck a "binky" is..

i read this in a little pets magazine i got when i went to the vet the other day.. it reads:

"some rabbits will do something called a "binky" when it is extremely happy. it jumps into the air and twists its head and body in different directions. it can be done while running or while standing in one place. a variation of this is a ear flick or a head flick. this is like a fast version of an indiand dance head tilt movement."

HAHAHAHAHAHA.. i tot that was extremely funny. haha..

who's stressed?

heee.. my exams are over!! cooooooooooooooooool... :):)

met up with the girls after exams today.. went to purvis street to eat western food.. the lamb chop i ate was yummy! hee. kinda sad that i wunt be seeing the girls anymore.. at least till i come back again i think. celine took time out from studying (she has a paper on monday).. and layshan & winnie too... they're all gonna have exams or are having exams.. and joanne n shufen took their rest time from work to come out so i can see them... thankew thankew so so so so much. i will miss u all when i'm there. :(

anyway.. something funny happened after that..we wanted to take a grp picture beside this poster before me, joanne and shuff went bugis and layshan, winnie n celine went towards smu.. hee. so layshan was desperately looking for pple to help us take photo.. there's like no one ard at that time man.. anyway, we saw this bunch of japanese so we were gonna ask them to help. but they approached ur and asked us for directions.. and they cant really speak english.. haha. so we said we were going where they're going and we'll show them the way but they must help us take photo first. haha..

ok. so it was weird. we got a bunch of tourists to help us take the photo.. heh. and then layshan's camera had no batt. haha! so had to use joanne's hp. damn lame. and the jap guy used his camera and said he will post to us and asked for our address. haha.. damn funny. ok it was funnier when it happened.

anyway, i headed to bugis intending to buy a pair of slippers. my straw slippers are wearing out. haha. i din manage to get any slippers... :( what happened to all the slipper shops?? damnit!

BUT!!! i did get 2 new denim skirts which i lurve and one top which i couldn't try and now that i did, it's too short.. and i think i wunt ever wear it.. and i bought a necklace.. heee.. i wanted to buy earrings and a belt but i din ok.. bleah.. anyway i din spend alot cuz stuff at bugis is cheeeeeeeaaaapppp.. hee.. i'm happppyyy.. haha. okok.. i always write so much rubbish. hee.

now to watch scrubs with my bro.... my life is how happening. haha. right.

i really appreciate all my friends who msged me n all. thankew so so much. it's nice to know that i'm not alone.. maybe this is not a big deal to some of u.. it's only a rabbit some might say... but it's that and so much more.

anyway, the previous post was a little tribute or remembrance entry.. jus for pherbe mainly. becuz he was such a wonderful little bunny.

and to the pple who msged me. i know that u all said u will buy me a bunny for my bday. thanx. but i cant afford a bunny farm yet. :)

yest night, my dad asked: "so i heard ur little bunny died.." and i said ya, and told him the whole story. i think he knew i was sad.. and he said i must be prepared. becuz bunnies dun live very long and once they get sick, they will die very fast.. and ya. he said i shld be prepared that pheebe might die soon too. i felt a little sadder. i kinda hoped pheebe will live on forever.. although i know that it wouldn't. i jus din need him to remind me of that yest..

but then he also asked if i were gonna get another one. and i said i prob will but not now. i'm jus not really for one more now. besides i have to leave for US soon... and he was saying that he might prefer me having a dog.. cuz they will live longer and they dun die so easily. that made me happy cuz i always wanted another dog.. jus that he din allow.

i'm really glad that he's ok with me having a dog now.. and i might jus consider getting myself one after i get back from the US. i cant wait!! i jus hope pheebe wunt get jealous. i feel a little guilty for being happy. but i'm happy!! :):)i named this little doggy "bunny".. haha.. it's my friend's dog.. but i had it for a week and i loved him.. heee.. isn't he cute? but i'm thinking of getting a king charles if i were to get. sam thinks king charles looks like aliens.. hahaha!! the one in the photo is a cairn terrier. hee..

and there it went.

it's been awhile. i've been busy studying for my exams.

and then pherbe had a cold on tuesday. i noticed something was wrong with him cuz he din eat his food when i put it in the cage. usually, he would be the first to eat all the food up. but instead, he sat there looking upwards. i had to rush. rushed to my exam in the morning. the first thing i did when i got home was to check on him. he was still sitting at one corner n looking up. i tot maybe it was a little bored so i let the rabbits out in the garden. and i sat outside watching them. pherbe would usually run all around n start eating the plants. but instead, it sat behind me and looked upwards. my bro n i joked. maybe his cage is a little smelly so he looked upwards. so i decided fine, i'll change the bedding, wash the cage and bathe him. and so i did. but while i was bathing him, he was struggling to climb to my shoulder.. and looked upwards. he was struggling to breathe. i was freaked out and rushed him to the vet. the vet scolded me for bathing for him cuz he had a cold. she said "rabbits can die of respiratory problems..." and how was i to know? i wouldn't be there if i knew he had a cold. i would jus buy the medicine. hearing her say that cost me 35 bucks.

so that night, i kept it in my room and placed a towel over the cage so it wouldn't be so cold. and since it wasn't eating, i had to force feed it or it will really die. i had to do it every hour.. but it looked a little stressed so i fed it less frequent. that's what they ask me to do. and on the third time, it was 1am. and i was about to sleep cuz i had a paper at9 which meant i had to wake up at 7.. and i promised to be in sch at 815. which meant i had to wake up at 615. and so i tot, i better feed it before i sleep otherwise it wunt have food the whole night. so i fed like one quarter of what i'm supposed to.. and it was not breathing very well. i tot maybe i'll try what the vet suggested n put a little bit of vicks to help the congestion. so i sat at my table. placed pherbe on the table so i can get the vicks. but as soon as i did that, it flopped on my table. it scrambled on the table, flopped to the side and was twitching. i helped it on its paws but it jus flopped. after 3 secs, it stopped breathing.

i called the emergency line. (thinking they can help) i was seriously lost. i din expect it at all. and it happened all too quickly. and so i said "help! my rabbit is gonna stop breathing. what do i do now?" and the guy said "may i know what's ur name, what's ur contact number, which clinic do u go to? what's the name of the vet u saw? i'll get a doctor to call u back?" GREAT. trust him to do that.

and then he got an overseas doctor to call me back. like what can he do. and this doc asked me "so which vet did u see? dun cry. call the emergency line back n tell them u're looking for dr nathan." fine.

i did that and the same guy picked up. and he asked "what's ur name, who are u looking for? what happened? which clinic did u go to?" and i said get me dr nathan now. and he "ok.. what's ur contact number, i'll msg her and get her to call u back asap?" bloody asshole!

and then after a million years, dr nathan called back. but it din matter anymore.

Pherbe died.

there it laid.. still on my table. its eyes were wide open. its mouth was sligthly open. and it was looking upwards. its paws were all soft. and then its head became cold.

i refuse to admit it. but i guess i have to. thanx to lionel n sam who helped my bury it. and to my sis, thanx for being there for me at that time. even though u were so tired n all. and i wunt be seeing u for 4.5mths.. i'm sorry that the last time we see each other till aug will be on such a sad note.

and to pherbe. i hope u will be happy in rabbit heaven. i love u so much and i miss u dearly. i will never forget the happy times u spent doing "binky"s in the garden, trying to snuggle under pheebe. and sprinting ard the garden.





i only wish that while it was alive, it was a happy bunny. that's all i can hope for.
