i'm lovin' it.
i got a new skin again. yipeeee... the other one was nice until the butterfly disappeared from the blog.. haha. i guess it happens when since i'm using another person's blog skin.. yup. i hope this lasts.. i really like this. and to the pple who dunno, i like polka dots!! (shame on my friends who dunno!!) haha. anyway.. yup. and i think marilyn monroe is really damn cool. so yup. i'm lovin' my new skin.

i've been getting really used to the life here that i have fun and i dun blog abt it. i totally left out lionel's party celebration!! and that we went parasailing....!! which cost a bomb la.
before that, i hafta to mention this:
the other day we were walking to walmart n lionel was complaining that his bag is damn heavy. and he was like saying that his bag "weighs a bomb"!! haha. ok. not funny. but it was damn hilarious when i first heard it. and he din even realize he was wrong. silly silly. ok. anyway...
must check out lionel's blog for photos!! must must!! although the photos of me are not very flattering. but oh well. at least my sis can see "how fat i am now".. she's damn mean la. cant wait for me to put on weight only.
that aside, i jus wanna apologize to lionel. "i'm sorry".. for always being so controlling. i realize that, like u, i wanna have some fun too. like when he went to watch da vinci code with me, i got really really pissed. he tried to contact me but i was in wal-mart n i din get his calls cuz stupid wal-mart has no reception.. and by the time i called him back, he was in the cinema already. i was really pissed that night cuz i wanted to watch that with him. and it was the first movie that i would watch here. and his too.. and i wanna watch it with him! like i'm really into all these "first times" thing. i like to ride my first rollercoaster in cedarpoint with lionel, eat my first cotton candy with him, etc. i know... i'm pyscho.. anyway. for that, i am really sorry cuz when i was walking home jus now, i saw 2 friends going out to watch movie and i was tempted to go with them. and i realize that it must be like this for lionel too. like he would want to have that freedom to watch whatever movie he wants with whoever, and whenever.. so yup. i'll try to not be so controlling. i promise!! haha. i know this must be really boring to everyone else. but i'm sure lionel will appreciate this.. :p (that is if he even reads this la)..
OH! and i realize something else too.. americans like to drink pop (soft drinks). they will let their babies drink too. like each person will have one cup. and it's not small la. and sometimes they buy the souvenir cups and the kid will want water in it but the mom will insist on them filling it with pop. haha.. and normally, the parents will drink diet pepsi and the kids will drink regular pepsi. i wonder.. is it cuz they are like older so diet is supposed to be a little healthier? weird.
oh oh!! happy 21st to ira!! i wish i was there... but i'm sure u had a grrrreeeaaat time!! i'll see u sooooooon. :)

inspired.
miss the days where i hang out with the girls in my house, to watch taiwanese serials and we ill share our days. for some time now, it seems like work is getting to us and we are restless by the time we get back. and although we still hang out, we seldom watch anything together anymore. we do still watch the same show but most of the time at our own timings. which is kinda sad. haha. but i guess we make do with what we got la. and i'm glad that at least we still share gossips and all bout work. kinda nice.
anyway, been watching "one litre of tears" - japanese serial. think some of u might know cuz i think they showed on channel 8 or something. anyway, i think it's a really good show. and what makes it really sad n touching is that it's based on a true story. when i watched the show, i cried my eyes out.. and the girls din allow me to sleep right away cuz they say my eyes will be really puffy the next day at work so we had to talk.. haha.. which was really nice. with some of the taiwanese.. yup. now. i'm almost done with the show. could have finish watching it yesterday but karen's laptop hibernated when the show was at its last few minutes. what a pain. haha. :p so till now, i haven gotten the chance to watch the ending.
so. after watching the show, i'm inspired to keep a diary. i think it's really cool. and not something to show off.. but i think it will help me be a little more disciplined. at least with one thing in my life. heh. what crap.
and not that i am hinting anything to anyone (even lionel) but i think i wanna get myself a dog if i can afford it when i get back. maybe for my 21st bday. i really really would want a dog. but i think it would be a really big responsibility and i must know i can afford all the food and the medical stuff and all. and now, my priority would be pheebe. so i must know i can keep both happy n well-fed and all. hmm.. and i guess other things that i am thinking about would be to buy myself a keyboard n pherhaps pick up piano lessons n all. my mom used to make us take piano lessons and since i've been so lazy all my life, i hated it. and so i quit without even taking grade one or anything. so yup. and now, i kinda wished i had continued. it would be nice. hmm.. or i think i will get a digital camera. one that belongs to me only. then i can take pictures all the time!!.. and i really wanna learn horseback riding. it would be nice..

karaoke night!
was kinda excited at first cuz it's the first time i'm here when they have karaoke nights here.. haha. it's funny.. cuz some of them really cant sing.. but they still are having so much fun.. haha.. i wouldn't dare sing in front of these pple! haha.. and there was one girl who was singing "can't get you out of my mind" by kylie minogue and it was kinda bad so this girl from the audience was asking her to "shut up!!!" haha.. then everyone cheered.. then she stopped and more pple cheered.. haha.. poor girl. but she was still smiling. so everything's cool. hee..
so anyway, i jus bidded for my classes.. hopefully i get them. will have wed, thurs n fri classes.. and will be doing double major.. marketing n finance. eeks. hopefully i can pass... i'm so screwed la. i dun even know what i wanna do when i come out to work. dun think i will do finance stuff eventually too. jus that i'm not interested in the rest of the stuff too. so yup. wish me luck!

Independence day came and gone.
i was so looking forward to 4 july cuz i heard cedarpoint will be super busy and alot of pple will wear like shirts with flags or like the national colours. but it was a little bit disappointing.
1. there were so little pple at the park. there were no lines at where i work so i was sent to help out at another place which had lines but i think it was the only place in the park that had lines. and i even heard this lady say (when i was queuing to use the restroom) that the toilet line is the only line in the park yesterday. how sad. hm..
2. tot everyone.. well almost everyone would wear something american but not really.. like i see the supervisors wearing ties with american flag print. and some girls had like red, white n blue ribbons on their hair.. and that's abt it! i even bought a pair of earrings jus for 4 july but i'm damn stupid la. forgot to wear. haha! :p
but then there was the fireworks. and it lasted for freaking 20 mins la.. it's super super long.. and it was quite awesome. i cant imagine. the fireworks at cedarpoint is already 20 mins long.. imagine the amount of money they spent and what other places might spend.. i mean like they're national stadium or something leh? it's crazy.. really crazy.
oh oh.. and i won the lottery. i bought this lottery: scratch n win thing from the supermarket the other day when i was waiting for the cab with lionel and when we got bored. and the lottery only cost me a dollar.. haha. and i won!!! a whole DOLLAR!! ( that is if i go online n register and all) haaaa.. damn funny la. but i decided i wunt bother la. all the trouble for one dollar.. haha.. but it was funny.
i'm jus talking to lek now and he's saying that i seem to be having fun here. it's true i guess. i have alot of freedom here. not from work la. work is crazily uptight and inflexible. but i mean if i wanna go to a pub or a gay club i can la. like my dad is not here to nag or something. but it also means i have to be that much more responsible for what i decide to do here la. haha.. anyway, i guess it's jus a differet kind of fun, like what i tell lek. at home, i have fun being with friends n all. enjoying the security and the familiarity at home. but here, i guess i enjoy doing things i wanna do. new things n crazy things that i can do. like if i wanna go shop for groceries at night, i can. if i wanna watch a movie i can. if i wanna hang out n drink with pple, i can jus go to lionel's room n drink with the guys n girls.. and it's different. i mean i'm not good with socialising but when i do get to know pple. i enjoy that. it's that kinda fun. it's hard to put it to words. but yup.
i've been really lazy so i haven been taking photos or taking the rides. i have 3 and a half more weeks till m contract ends. i will certainly miss this place. i miss the thais that left. i miss nokyoong. i miss working with her. and i think i will miss the taiwanese. i think i am getting to talk to them more. and they are really nice girls.

excuses excuses... AGAIN!
i know i haven been blogging. i know i know. haha.

anyway.. the reason i have this time is tha ti've been sick for a week now.
started since last week. had fever and the whole package .. and for the first time in my life, i lost my voice on tuesday morning when i got to work so i was sent home. haha. haven been working much cuz of this.. and also cuz the weather here is kinda bad lately.
it was the start of summer n we had a tornado warning n flash flood warning in ohio.. scary la.. and it's getting cold n wet and no one's going to the park.. so we all dun get to work... (no work = no money = no presents for everyone! :p)
anyway. nothing much happened recently.. eh.. oh.. i got new housemates. after the thais left, we had some peace for one week. and then we had one taiwan girl.. and yest, another. so yup. i think the place will be flooded with tiawanesessssss.. yup! i dun wannnntttt.. cuz now, i have a room to myself.. it's only 5 weeks more.. let me have my own roooom!! haha.. (not really likely man. sianz)..
ok. i'm going back to do some stuff.. btw.. it's lionel's bday tmr. so yup! we'll be celebrating on sunday instead. cuz i cant take off on his bday!! boooo.. :(

my sups.
hmm.. as i take the employee bus home after work today, i tot abt work n all. and i tot to myself, it has been 6 weeks since i started working at cedarpoint. and i have another 6 weeks more. and i can already feel how much i will miss this place. and all my friends that i've made here n perhaps i will miss my supervisors the most. they have been so nice to us all!!
so far, i had 4 supervisors. i shall take photos of them when i can.. without them, i dun think i will enjoy my work as much. and i might have asked for a transfer (to another department).. or i might quit!! haha.. i dunno. there's this 2 singaporean girls (chun-li and angela) who worked for 2 weeks and quit. haha! i think it's such a waste that they din enjoy it here. i mean of cuz sometimes it sux and i curse the system.. but it's also so so much fun. like when i have my off days, and i go back to the park, i will definitely still visit them. haha.. so lame right. but ya.
anyway, it's so overdue.. but here are the niagara falls photos. enjoy...
this is the first sight of the falls. if i dun rem wrongly, i think it's called american falls. haha. okok. ya. but it was cold and wet!!! argh. but it's so amazing to see the falls.. it's huge!!
this is all of us. all of the singaporeans who went for the trip that day.. heee.. but the person who helped us take the photo did not take the background.. so it's a pity.. but oh well at least we got a group picture!

under the falls. the falls is quite strong man.. a little painful. 
the flowers are nice.. and ya. (ahhh.. the rec center is closing. so i only have 5 minutes left to use the internet!)
this is some other falls. but i cant rem the name. haha. it's pretty and the water is greenish.. but din manage to take a good picture of that. 
we ended the day with this sunny picture. the sun finally came out as we were leaving so we ran to the falls to take another photo and catch one last glimpse of the falls. it was so cool. but it would have been better if it was a sunny day cuz then we would be able to catch alot of rainbows.. niagara falls is known as the rainbow maker afteralll... oh well. i believe that i will visit it again. maybe from the canada side. okok.. i gotta goooooo... gonna be chased out!!! eeks.

feeling a lil' blue..
i've been working with a bunch of singaporeans n malaysians, some ang mohs, and one thai girl. now, the thai girl will be leaving in 2 week's time.. and she will be applying off as much as she can to go shop n all. i will miss her. she's been such a nice friend n working buddy. she stays above my dorm n will sometimes come over to my dorm to find the thai girls or sleepover. it's a pity she cant really speak english. but it's cool. i'm her translator. hee. i am feeling a little depressed cuz she is leaving. and it will be such a long time before i see her again if i even do. but she's so sweet. working with her has been a blast. haiz. i hate this kinda feeling. lke when u made a new good friend n it's time to part. and it has only going to be one short month that i know her.. before she leaves. argh. i wonder how depressed i will be feeling when i finally have to leave cedarpoint. i think i will try to cherish each horrible working day. heee...

blah blah.
the other time i managed to squeeze in an entry, i was in such a rush.. and i had so many things i wanna tell the world. but now that i have time, i dunno what to write. haha.
hmm.. i guess i can talk abit abt my life here:
every week, i have different schedules. basically, i'm scheduled to work like 60 hrs a week with one day off. and last week, alot of pple were sent home alot cuz the park was not busy.. but this week, the park operates from 10am to 10pm.. and there are alot more pple coming to the park cuz it's getting warmer and the hols are almost here. so it's damn busy now.. i worked for 8 hrs yest. and 10 hours today. will have to work for 13 hrs tmr. it's crazy...
oh. and i work at the fryers. like i will fry chicken fingers, fries, make hambrgers, double burgers, cheeseburgers, double cheese, chicken sandwich.. heee.. and sometimes i have to do cash register too.. but i dun really like that. cuz when pple dun get their food fast, they will make alot of noise. heee..
oh oh!! and i went to niagara falls on thurs!! it's damn nice. but i wished it was sunnier. it's supposed to be a rainbow maker. hee.. but we din manage to see any.. so sad. but the falls are amazing!! but i dun have photos now.. so haha! ok la. this entry is damn boring. i shall stop all this nonsense.

oh. and i work at the fryers. like i will fry chicken fingers, fries, make hambrgers, double burgers, cheeseburgers, double cheese, chicken sandwich.. heee.. and sometimes i have to do cash register too.. but i dun really like that. cuz when pple dun get their food fast, they will make alot of noise. heee..
oh oh!! and i went to niagara falls on thurs!! it's damn nice. but i wished it was sunnier. it's supposed to be a rainbow maker. hee.. but we din manage to see any.. so sad. but the falls are amazing!! but i dun have photos now.. so haha! ok la. this entry is damn boring. i shall stop all this nonsense.

hello hello.. i'm alive!!
i know i haven been updating my blog at all.. hee. oopsy. i have reasons k.
1. the park closes late sometimes n i have to work till park close most of the time. and the rec center (it's at the dorm.. and it's the nearest place i can use internet around here)
2. it has been raining for one week+++ so it's really cold to work to the rec center!! really really cold.. and i'm so so silly. i only brought one jacket to the US la.. i'm gonna die from the cold.. the wind is horribly strong!!!
3. the connection here SUCKS!! haha..
ok.. anyway, i'm gonna put up as many photos as i can for now.. i haven been taking alot of photos too.. so yup.. i'm really lazy to type so much.. but i'm really fine here.. except i keep eating!! and guess what? i'm almost 50!! i know.. i'm damn shocked too.. but oh well.. i blame the cold. haha..
ok.. this is my apartment.. there's like 5 rooms altogether.. and 2 toilets... i stay at room B.. hee.. 
my rooooooom!!!!! haha.. isn't it pretty n oh-so-cosy? haha.. i have the flower tooo!! bought from meijers.. (a supermart.. like wal-mart).. heee.. nice right? haha.. but i'm jus kidding. it's not my room.. haha..
this is my room. haha.. i know it's messy! but it's not my fault. haha. i have all my things n i dun have any proper shelves to put all of my things!! argh.. haha.. so yup.. this is where i get my beauty sleep.. i love my bed.. see shrek.. he accompanies me.. yipeeee..
this is the kitchen place.. heee.. eugene usually cooks for us.. hee. i'll post a picture of him later.. if i have time. haha.. but so sad, he's leaving to work at california instead.. sooooon. boohooo.. yup. the thai girls ( i live with 4 toher singaporeans n 10 thais girls) usually dun wash their dishes till they need to use it.. haha. so it's really messy.. and they can be really really nosiy.. they are like shouting n all till 1 or 2 am everymorning.. argh. but i'm getting used to it.. plus they are really friendly la.. so i'm ok.. hee..
sometimes we cook pancakes.. hee.. nice right?
had baileys the other night... the one in white is eugene the cook.. hee.. the one in yellow is obviously lionel la.. if u dun recognize him.. haha.. we are fatter now..
this is where i hang out at night.. witht eh singaporean girls... hee.. i usually watch some taiwan show before i sleep.. heee.. how interesting right. but every night i'm like so tired after work. so i jus eat, watch show then sleep.. oh ya.. of cuz i'll shower la. haha..
ok.. this is me now. in my uniform.. i know i know.. i look like a vietnam boy..haha.. but usually, the uniform is short sleeved.. but i'm wearign the cedarpoint sweatshirt cuz it's really cold when the wind blows.. seriously cold la......... i know it looks sunny but it's usually not warm.. hee.. the background is my room.. heee.. yup. ok.. i'm runnign out of time.. got to type faster!!! ahhh...
this was taken jus now.. like one our ago.. haha. at the park.. nice right? so sunny! and we are all wearing diff coloured sweatshirts.. heee... we are all working at skyride... i'll talk abt that some other time. 
that's us eating cotton candy.. one of the attractions at cedarpoint is the 25 cents cotton candy.. haha. but we are not allowed to eat along the way.. haha... oh wellllll...
had a day off the other day so i went to do some stuff.. haha.. it was a nice sunny day.. yip.
lionel is alwyas spoiling the photo..argh.
finally.. wal-mart!! but it's nothing much la.. i think i like target better. hee.. okok.. no time. 
had real chinese foood.. and it was goooooooooood. but so not worth it for me cuz it's buffet and i can only eat one plate of rice n dishes..

los angeles - day 7 & 8
*for this post, day 8 is on top of day 7.. so i sugeest reading from day 7 then to day 8. but honestly speaking, it doesn't make a difference so yup. this is bullshit. haha.*
Day 8: went to hollywood boulevard again.
that's the hot dog n i! haha. actually it's lionel's hot dog la. i only wanted a bite. look at the hot dog carefully. he eats mustard, ketchup but i like it with ketchup n mayo. so the front bit where i'm supposed to bite, there's mayo n ketchup with no mustard for me! haha. cute right? ya i know. heh. 
celine! this is for u! it's antonio banderas! haha. 
seee the empty star shape in the tile? lionel n i are suspecting that someone is gonna get a star soooon. we waited for a while near this star cuz there were tv crew. but like no stars came so we left la. it's prob the pre-star event news. argh. oh well. 
that's me n the mann's chinese theatre. we went there to watch silent hill today. it was a pretty cool show. not sure whether they have it in singapore but it's a cool n rather violent show but the ending was not too good. so i din really like it. but the cinema was coool so wayang. heh. but the seats at the cinemas here are crap man. cuz they dun incline. like singapore's cinemas, the seat will lean backwards when u sit but not here man. the seats are spacious but stiff. gives me a headahce when i watch a movie.
so far, i watched scary movie 4 - which is funny but not worth the money. jus download it or something. and i watched united 93 - which made me puke 3 times during the show!! the movie was so shaky i cant take it man. argh. and the third movie i watched would be silent hill today. yupz.
this was our dinner. (in-and-out burger) it's cheeseburger meal, animal style. haha. ya. they jus put shit on ur fries. haha. it's pretty good la. they put some fressing n cheese n fried onions on the fries which is definitely better than plain fries. haha.
Day 7: universal studios.
this was taken before we went in to universal studios. it was another sun-shiny day. so i wore my shades (btw, i bought the pair of shades here in LA). *jie, i know u dun like black. i mean u prefer brown but i like this pair. dun u think it's not a bad pair? considering it's not expensive. heee.. * anyway ya. and i wore my new marilyn monroe tee-shirt. i bought it here too. i love it! cuz i think marilyn monroe's so pretty. it's in her eyes! oh! and if u click on the picture and see the enlarged version, u will see that i'm not smiling. and i look a little pissed but actually i'm not la. it's jus cuz i cant smile with that pair of shades cuz then my cheeks will press against the shades and my cheeks will look fat. haha. so yup. 
one of the first things i saw inside universal studios was the madagascar lion. haha. i had to take a picture with him! heee. he looks so happy!!
and then there was spongebob!! he's so so cute. i flicked his nose. haha. but that was before the photo was taken so haha. the person inside is not very tall huh. haha. he's abt our height!! 
look at shrek! he looks like lionel's friend!! and i have a small shrek in my arms! lionel won that for me! but i won another one after that so we exchanged for a bigger shrek! haha. shrek is so cute. i love him!. 
and frankestein was freaky!! he put his hand on my neck. eeeks! and he's so so tall.. i almost din wana go so close to him. 
this hollywood sign is damn nice huh. like real one huh. haha. it's jus a fake board behind us but it look so real. coooool.
oh.. we went for the universal studio tour. and at the back of me if the war of the worlds movie set. it's really damn freaky cuz they really took a boeing 747 (i think) and destroyed it for the movie. and u can really see the damage n all.. it's seriously scary cuz u know that might happen to anyone of us who flies. eeks. i'm scared. but ya i still smiled for the camera. what a camera whore. haha.
that's me n the apollo 13 pple. all they need is their helmet n all i need is mini shrek! heh. nvm. not funny. haha. 
one of those photos that i take to entertain myseld cuz lionel was on the phone with kamil. heee. i like this photo. makes me laugh. shrek is alive!! haha. it's like in a bollywood movie where it's hiding behind the tree. hahahahahahaa. ok. not so funny too. i make bad photo jokes. heh.
